AA Script to forward to GDM not working

Hello Everyone,

Hoping someone can help on this matter. I have a UC250 with a AA script that is set to forward '0' to a GDM Mailbox.

There is no problems in having callers pressing 0 and accessing the GDM. Of course the users would like either MWI or an Envelope on their phones to make aware of the new Voice mail.

What I did was added a ephone-dn as the forum posts have suggested to Call-Forward ALL to the GDM. I then replaced the AA script to transfer '0' to extension of the new ephone-dn.

With that Call-Forward setup, when the callers press '0' there is a silence followed by a click of the UC520 dropping call.

What am I missing here? setup is very basic with 6 FXO ports in a huntgroup by Telco with 4 7970G Phones. The AA script is very basic with Dial-by Extension enabled. A custom prompt requests callers to either dial the 4 users extensions or press zero to leave message on the general mailbox.

Thanks,
Frank

I have basically the same

I have basically the same setup, and I don't think there was much to it.

create a new CUE group and assign extension, create mailbox for it.

create a new ephone-dn, with the same extension as the one you used to create the group mailbox.

setup AA to transfer to the same extension when pressing 0

setup phone buttons to 'monitor' the ephone-dn with the same extension of the mailbox (button 2m25 or whatever). the icon for the button will then change to the envelope when there is a message in the GDM.

Clarification

Please clarify this to make sure I am on the same page. In your customized AA script when a caller presses "0", this is in turn sends him to the extension of a ephone-dn (phone extension), this ephone-dn then has the call-forward all field populated with the phone extension of the GDM. Is this correct? If so, when you pick up one of the 7970G phones and dial the extension of the ephone-dn (that forwards to the GDM) does it do just that (correctly forward to the GDM)?
