Quick question...when recording custom prompts using the AvT system, do those prompts "go live" as soon as you are done, or can you then apply them via the web GUI at a later time? I need to record new prompts for a custom script, but I don't want to have them go live until they are all complete. |

Prompts are not live until you rename them
The prompts you record using AvT are not activated right away. When you record a prompt, CUE names the resulting file based on a timestamp, so each prompt file name is unique. You then have to rename the files to match the names specified in the script before the script will use them. Hope that makese sense.
Avt prompts
Administration via Telephone is an easy way to record prompts into Unity Express on the UC500. The files are stored in flash and the default filename is a Date and Time Stamp. They won't "go live" until you reference them in a scripted application. I generally rename the prompts from the default filename to something descriptive before I reference them into a script.
