New Spam Filters in place and site updates

Hey all, I've just installed some new Spam Filters that should reduce the amount of content Spam on the site.

To all of you Spammers out there - - - BRING IT!

I also would like to ask all of you to try out the facebook connect feature on the site to link to your facebook account.  Once connected you can invite your friends on facebook to setup an account here as well and share your posts on facebook.  I'd be very interested in comments on how well this new feature works.  

In other News, I've scoured the web for End User video tutorials and created a tab "User Guides"  for all of you who need end user material for the UC500 including links to printable phone guides.  I'll be creating additional video as time goes on.

Introducing Cisco Configuration Professional 2.1

 I recieved an email from Shankar Ramachandran the product manager at Cisco for Cisco Configuration Professional software.  Cisco has released version 2.1 of Cisco Configuration Professional.  This is the GUI management tool for Unified Communications Manager Express running on an ISR Router.

This new release adds support for the following features:

  • The new ISR G2 routers
  • Additional security feature configurations  like GETVPN
  • Wireless
  • Unified Communications  (CME, CUE, SRST, CME as SRST)
  • New interfaces such as 3G
  • Product performance

Now Available to Order! Cisco Smart CallConnector Operator Console for the Smart Business Communications System

Smart CallConnector Operator is a new component of the Cisco Unified CallConnector family. This Windows-based operator console application is designed specifically for the calling, messaging, and contact management requirements of small business attendant positions. Customers can deploy one or two consoles per UC 500 Series. Each console includes graphical call queuing, directory lookup for easy call handling, and fully customizable application and keyboard for fast call handling. 
 
Smart CallConnector Operator can now be ordered using normal ordering processes and is available in most countries; it is not available in Japan and Russia.  For Smart CallConnector Operator, use part number: L-SW-SCC-OPERATOR.  
 
The PAK ID for registering the product will typically be delivered via email within 2-3 days of the order being processed. For Small Business Pro Service 3 year software support use part number: CON-SBS-SVC3.

1. SPA525G firmware 7.4.3
2. Cisco Small Business Video Camera WVC2300 and/or PVC 2300
3. SBCS 2.0 with Cisco Configuration Assistant (CCA) 2.2.1
 
Details on the configuration steps for initial deployments of MonitorView are posted below. The 2nd phase of Monitorview will include a configuration wizard in CCA 2.2.2 (FCS Feb/2010) to simplify the installation process.
