Terrific site... Two days ago I had never seen a UC500, today i have it doing 95% of what i need thanks to this site.
My question:
I have a number of FXO line that come in and ring all at once on 4 phones. I used a config strategy posted here.
I have two other phone users that occasionally will pick up a line, but do not want their phones ringing all the time. I attempted to include them in the 'all at once' group, but could not figure out how to suppress the the ringing on their phones when I add the button.
The offices are close enough that the 'all at once' phones can be herd from the non participating persons offices, therefore a tap at the 'PickUp' button followed by the plar'd extension (150) works, but for conveniences sake, I would like to program a button to do the 'PickUp' and the extention entry in one step.
Any advice on the ring suppression or the PickUp macro would be appreciated.

Monitor IS limited to one line
Wam,
Yes, you're right that the monitor is linked to the DN, not the extension as far as monitoring purposes go. I guess that means that it will only light as an indicator when one specific DN is getting a call, however when it comes to picking up calls it will act as a speed dial to decrease the amount of button pressing needed. Alternatively, configure a speed dial! (doh!, should have said that originally). This isn't a single button pickup, but two is still better than four. So far I can make the DN not ring, or a button linked to a single DN not ring...but not a button linked to multiple DNs not ring when other phones still need to ring on that DN. I'll keep looking, and hopefully someone else out there will think of a clever way.

Try Using Group Pickup
Assign your 15X extensions to pickup group X. Also assign your ephones to teh same pickup group. Group pickup will answer any extensions that are ringing. From the phone simply press the GPickup button and answer the call.

Try a monitor for now
Hello,
I believe there is a way to suppress ringing and I'll try to find that out for you. In the mean time, you might try setting up a monitor button for that extension, this way the user sees when a call is coming in (the monitor button lights up) and all they need to do is press pickup then the monitor button. Still may not be optimal, but it's faster than dialing an extension.
Or, you could always setup the line like normal and turn the ringer off on the phone :)
Monitor seems to be limited to 1 line...
Skyspence,
Good thought, but the IOS rejects it when i attempt the following:
ephone 6
..
..
button 1:11 2m40,41,42,43 8m19
Looks like a monitor must be tied to a single DN, and wont allow me to use a single button to monitor like an overlay. If you have any additional thought on the 'suppress ring' for only that button, that would work. Thanks for the efforts thus far.
