CCIE Voice lab exam changes

CCIE Voice Changes -
As you may know . .. Cisco has changed all of the version numbers of just about all of the Voice products to 7.0
With the introduction of Unified Communications Manager 7.0 The CCIE lab for voice has some new changes. As someone who is studying for the CCIE Voice lab I'm glad to see the legacy hardware and software pulled out of the exam. The pervious lab tested on Call Manager 4.x and included CatOS based switches. One of the toughest things in previous lab prep was being able to get your hands on the Chassis based switch to study. Enhancement to the lab exam include:
- SIP endpoints in both full blown Communications Manager and CME Presence
- It looks like Cisco Unity has been dropped in favor of Unity Connection and Unity Express
- Mobility and Single Number Reach
- IP-IP Gateway/Cube
- RSVP
- SIP Trunks
- Presence
The new CCIE Voice lab goes live in mid-July 2009
More info and the lab exam blueprint is available on the Cisco Learning Network Here.
