Hi,
I'd like to know if it's possible for CME on a UC500 to be managed directly from a remote CallManager Cluster. This way, CME will not only be remotly managed but integrated in a way to the remote callmanager cluster.
thank you for the help!
Maybe he's thinking of the 1861 ISR, which can support SRST and can be licenced for CME/CUE. It is identical in design as a UC520 but is marketed as a gateway for CCM to use in a small brach office with 8 users or less.
Not sure what you mean with "managed by". It is *not* possible to manage CME (either ISR or UC500) through CCM.
Usually, all phones are managed by the CCM, and the CME router is used as a voice gateway, only providing a local outbreak to PSTN from that site (which can be used by any phone in the CCM environment), and maybe SRST in case the wan-link fails.
I am not sure how this would be possible with an UC500, but i expect it should be possible to use the UC500 as a h323 gateway for CCM.
