Changed VLAN1 ip, now cant connect to CME or the UC520

nick.thomas's picture

I have a customer that has a cisco 2600 router that is the wan. I the fa0/0 off that into a switchport on the UC and changed smartports to router mode. The customer has 10.34.216.1 for Default Gateway, and 172.31.190.17 for the DHCP server. I changed the Int vlan1 ip to match their DHCP server. Their network works just fine now but I cant telnet into the UC520 or use the browser to connect to the CME. Thanks!!!

firewall

Here is a guide for configuring the UC520 for use with an external router/firewall in front of it. This is a good place to start.

There is also a post on this forum somewhere that was written for this scenario, and they give all the IPs and sections of the config that need to be changed for it to work. I took a quick look and couldnt find it, but i'm sure you can find it with a bit of searching.

For now, you will need to console into the box to regain access, and posting a copy of your config will help us determine the problem. It sounds like it could be an ACL issue (permisson lists were not updated along with IP address changes).
