UC500 sample configuration for E1

hemantarora's picture

Hi All,

I am very new to UC500 and been asked to setup for a company. I have E1 card and ISDN(20). I tried configuring via GUI but no luck.

Controller E1 is detected and whenever I connect that to ISDN it shows up. I want to make calls outside via E1. Is there any sample configuration for E1 card.

controller E1 0/2/0
framing CRC4 Australia
clock source internal

I only have above configfuration for E1 , What other parameters needs to be there ?

Thanks for your help.

Inbound calls with a ISDN PRI interface

We are trying to test our UC520 using a PRI interface. Our outbound calls seem to work O.K but all inbound calls just get a dial tone. We can then manually dial a did & auto attendant extension. Looking at the cli our Serial0/3/0:1 is down. Any help appreciated!

Change Dial out access Code

How does one go about changing the Dial out access code?
It is currently set to 9 at one of my clients - however the the end users keep dialing 911 and hanging up - the police department is getting a little upset - so the Client would like it changed to 8.

I have changed this in the CUE GUI - and it does have an effect - however, 9 no longer works and 8 does not work as well.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

have you specify the switch

have you specify the switch type? both the global switch type and the Serial switch type.

Also, you will need to config the outgong dial peers to point to the E1 and make it higher preference than then FXO

These is the config for the

These is the config for the UK - might help for your setup

network-clock-select 1 E1 0/3/0 - Make sure this is setup to your Pri as faxing/modems will be unstable (if you connect faxes to your FXS ports)

isdn switch-type primary-net5 - I think this is the same in Austrialia - check though

controller E1 0/3/0
pri-group timeslots 1-8,16 - these are your timeslots, if you have 10 channels change this to 1-10

interface Serial0/3/0:15
no ip address
encapsulation hdlc
isdn switch-type primary-net5
isdn incoming-voice voice
isdn sending-complete
no cdp enable

dial-peer voice 150 pots - This is the incoming Dial-peer
description ** E1 Outgoing Dial Peer **
incoming called-number .
direct-inward-dial
port 0/3/0:15
forward-digits all

dial-peer voice 155 pots - This is the outgoing Dial-Peer
description ** E1 Outgoing Dial Peer **
destination-pattern 9T
port 0/3/0:15

The UC520 and CCA configures a lot of dial-peers for the FXO ports if your model comes with them. I normally just remove these dial-peers if I dont have provison for calls to be made though them.
