key back to PBX - couple thoughtsThe quick, but not so easy way would be to copy the factory config file to "start-up config" and reload. Of course doing so would reset everything to base level. The other way and perhaps better would be to just modify the running config...the real difference between the KEY and PBX system is how incoming calls are presented (just look at voice-port configs) and how calls are made (again via voice ports and dial-peers). You can still retain the DNs and user definitions. Granted there's a lot of details that I'm leaving out, but by examing each voice port and how incoming / outgoing calls are handed you get certainly learn better what's going on.

key back to PBXAnyone know the command or process to reset the UC500 back to its defaults so I can change from key-system back to pbx configuration ? Mon, 09/17/2007 - 23:25 — Anonymous (not verified)
uc500 default configYou need to locate the default config file in flash. Depending upon the SKU the file name will vary. Following are some examples default config files: If these files are not in the flash, please downloaded the default config file (matching your SKU) from http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/UC520-files a) In the exec mode copy the default config to the start-up config, for example: Once the file is copied (and the CUE comes back ONLINE), reload the UC500, when it boots up, it will be in the factory default mode. |
