Multiple Problems with UC520 16 user configuration

Line Lights, Call Forward, and Intercom problems

Let me give you a little background so you can understand the problems i'm having. I setup my UC520 as a key system so i could see the CO lines on my phones. I also did a overlay setup so i could make all the phones ring when a call comes in and anyone can answer it. I'm having trouble getting a few other things to function the way we need it to. I have a monitor button on each of the phones so that i can see when someone is on the phone. My problem is that when someone picks up their phone i see that they pick it up but when they press a CO line button all i see is that someone is on that line and the users button isn't lit.
Also i'm using 3 types of phones 7931,7961,7970. When i make a call i can transfer the call using the transfer button on the 7931's but the buttons on the 7961 and 7970 are grayed out and the system tells me this feature isn't available here. One last problem is that i want to setup the intercom so that a user can dial a number such as 7 then an extension and connect with speaker phone on and initiate a 2 way call with them. I referenced the article http;//www.uc500.com/intercom-limitations and used the configuration that setup new ephone-dn for each intercom and used a speed dial button + user extension to get that functinality. However when i tried this all that happend was i got a busy signal when i tried that extension.

Please help getting very frustrated just trying to get simple key system features to work with the uc520.

CO line status

see this thread regarding your line status issue. You have to use 'Watch' buttons not 'monitor' buttons.

As for call transfer, you cannot transfer a phone call if you have your system setup as a key system with CO lines. If an incoming call is received on a CO line, you cannot transfer that call from one user to another. The first user has to put the call on hold, then the second user picks up the CO line to get the call off hold. This is the major drawback of the key-system setup. That means you cant transfer calls to the user's voicemail either.
