How do I set up Load Speaker to work off an FXS Port? I know how to wire it and assign it an extension, but how do I force it to answer so that my customer can talk over the speaker into the warehouse. Thanks..........Dan |

Not sure I understand what
Not sure I understand what you are trying to achieve.
If you are looking to use the speaker system as a paging/announcement system then you can assign the port to a paging group which should then just broadcast across it when you page.
but "so that my customer can talk over the speaker" is the part that has me confused.
Makes Sense
I was over thinking it way too much. So I just assign one of the intercom ext to the FXS ext and it will work. I will try it out next week when I am back down there. Thanks for your help guys.
Thanks............Dan
Already have the AMP
The AMP is already there. But when I call 601 which is the FXS port that I have it wired to it just rings. How do I get it to answer so I can talk?
Thanks........Dan
You need a paging control unit
You need an external device to do this. I've used the V-9970 single-zone page control unit from Valcom with excellent success, but you also need a power supply big enough to drive the unit and the speaker(s). They have good support, including pre-sales design support if you need help. www.valcom.com
