Help

Hi, I need some help - how do I remove 12.4.20 so I can upgrade? What do I need to do to get that to work?

What am I doing wrong ?

I got the update file but CCA 1.8 says it doesn't have enough space (28 Mb free). It doesn't propose to erase unwanted content for the upgrade to be performed.
From there, what can I delete safely on my 128 Mb card to perform the upgrade ?

(let me know if you want the dis list).

Cheers

Fab

free space for upgrade

You shouldn't need to manually delete anything off your CF to perform this upgrade. CCA will take care of creating the space it needs. I saw the same warning message in CCA 1.8 and was able to complete the upgrade successfully.

upgrade path

Should I upgrade to 4.2.8 prior to 4.2.9 ?
Also, I already have 12.4.20(T) as IOS but 4.2.9 has 12.4.11 should that be an issue ?

Fab

Yes, i would remove 12.4.20

Yes, i would remove 12.4.20 if you are going to try the 4.2.9 upgrade. That may be why it cannot delete it. go back to one of the XW releases and try the upgrade from there.

I have 12.4.20T (and now T1) and it appears to be pretty unstable. I wouldnt recommend it unless you HAVE to have some of the CME 4.3 features.

same here

no problems with space and upgrade going from 4.2.8 to 4.2.9

succesfull upgrade

i just did an upgrade from 4.2.7 (with cue 2.3.4), and with succes. it took 40 minutes, but the new cca 1.8 told me in advance. and the status bar was very comforting. also the warning that i would not have enough space on the flash was not an issue. cca deleted files and replaced them with the newer ones.

the update already fixed two problems i was having.

Upgrade worked without a hitch

Took about 40 minutes as was mentioned. Stated it needed 92MB and only 60 was available but it cleaned out space as it went. Fixed a couple of issues I had as well, lets see if it gets the most annoying one.
